A clubber suffered a broken jaw in an assault at a Norwich venue last week.

Officers from Norwich CID are appealing for witnesses following the incident at Essence nightclub in Prince of Wales Road.

At about 2.45am on Thursday, a man in his late 30s was on the dance floor when he was assaulted.

The victim was left with a broken jaw which required hospital treatment.

A man in his early 20s from the Acle area was arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on bail until the end of April.
