A car careered out of control and crashed through the wall of a family home in Strumpshaw.
As villagers walking their dogs stopped to survey the scene this morning the Audi was still embedded in the wall of the barn conversion in Norwich Road, Strumpshaw.
The family, a couple and their two children, had been awoken by the collision at about 2am.
Fire crews from nearby Acle and Carrow in Norwich were called out to assess the damage and make the scene safe.
The family, who were able to stay in one part of their house, declined to talk about their experiences this morning, Police confirmed they had arrested one man on suspicion of drink-driving.
A spokesman for the East Anglian Ambulance Service confirmed that a crew had checked over a teenage boy at the scene. He had minor injuries and shock but did not need to go to hospital.

To set the story straight, the teenage boy, aged 15, was sleeping in the room where the audi driver crashed into. He was lucky to come away with minor injuries as he's room was completely destroyed. The man driving the audi is allegedly a neighbour and very much suspected to have very intoxicated before crashing into the poor boys room and apparently fleeing from the scene. If you are going to post about such an accident, one must get their facts correct.

Thanks Only Me - what @stevejo also overlooked is that the driver was arrested for suspected drunk driving (incidently described as a man rather than a teenage boy). If indeed he was drunk, then this is much more likely to be the cause rather than being an Audi driver or a teenager.

You're absolutely right Eddie, the other two must be Sun readers - they read what their prejudices lead them to see, not what's actually there. It might be that the teenager was driving but no way can that conclusion be drawn from what's written in this report.

Not at all defensive. I was highlighting your sweeping and totally unfounded generalisation - please provide some real evidence supporting your statement if you disagree. Your point about a 'teenage boy' just highlighted your inability to comprehend the article properly. Whether I drive and Audi or not is irrelevant (I don't). Let's deal in facts.
