Best customer service
This award will be presented on the night and is based on the feedback across all categories.
The survey provides the country’s leading snapshot of all that is good in the world of finance – a world that has been rocked by more negative publicity over the past year, and which perhaps needs to do more to shout about its successes.
The Libor-fixing scandal, the computer meltdown at RBS and Natwest and the continuing payouts for mis-sold payment protection insurance are some of the issues that have grabbed the headlines, and the financial industry is going to need to do a lot of work to prove it should be loved by consumers.
But it is only fair that the providers that offer decent products and great customer service are also recognised – and voting in these awards is the best way to do it.
The expert analysts at Moneyfacts – one of the country’s leading suppliers of financial data – have drawn up shortlists in 20 categories, covering everything from the top credit cards to the best pet insurance, and from the leading bank accounts to the top energy providers.
Most of the well known high-street names are shortlisted, but there are also some smaller providers as well as some new entrants.
The way these awards are structured means the winners will be the ones who offer great products as well as outstanding customer service.
The only way to get on a shortlist is to have a market-leading offering in technical terms, as judged by the team at Moneyfacts, but it is down to you to decide which of the finalists offer the best customer experience.
Last year there were about 60,000 votes cast, making it the largest such survey in the country.
“At a time when the financial industry is under the spotlight perhaps more than ever before, these awards showcase the very best financial sector products available to the public,” said Sylvia Waycot, of Moneyfacts.
“The aim of the awards is to give the UK’s millions of customers a voice and a chance to reflect how they feel about the range of financial products available to them.
“Pooling Moneyfacts’ expertise and reputation with feedback from our consumer survey will provide the true picture of public feeling towards the companies and products that service the consumer finance market.”
