Immigration will continue to rise around the 250,000 to 300,000 mark every year, most will come from the EU former communist bloc. In 2014, the two most poorest and deprived countries will join the EU club, Albania and Macedonia. The rise will then spike by around 600,000 to 1 million in heading for work in the UK. I don't believe any government can conjure up jobs for the expected rise in our population by these figures.....Spain has over 20% unemployment at present and is continuing to rise, this should be a warning of what to expect in the coming few years.

V what kind of vacancies? Well look on Jobs24 website. How many times have you seen the same marketing company have a vacancy listed over 20 times but all worded slighly differently or repeated several times. I contacted EEN about multiple job vacancies saying it distorts the real number of vacanies. Odd how I never got a reply and they still do it.

it is hardly suprising that there is a continuing rise in unemployment when the population of this country has increased so dramatically over the past few years
