Holidaymakers at one of the area’s best known resorts were left without power for a large part of today.
Center Parcs at Elveden, near Thetford Forest, had a power cut in the early hours of the morning.
It had left holidaymakers without electricity in their accommodation units on a day which saw temperatures struggle to rise above freezing.
The spa and swimming pool was also out of use until the power was restored at 2.20pm.
Customers, however, were able to use the resort’s central facilities, including the shops, restaurants, indoor sports and the sub-tropical swimming paradise area.
No one had to be evacuated.
On social networking site Twitter, one customer said her sister’s 30th birthday had “been in ruins” due to the power cut. Others, however, said they were still having a “fab time” and were keeping warm by the fire.
A spokesman for Center Parcs apologised for any inconvenience caused.
It is not known what caused the power cut and investigations were being carried out.
The power failure was confined to the Center Parcs site and did not affect the surrounding area.

Would like to commend the staff at Elveden Center Parcs as being very helpful and supplying excellent facility's even though the whole of the accommodation area's did not have any power, They supplied us with matches and fire logs to help assist us with trying to keep warm.. They also provided us with cooked breakfast (what more can you ask for) And was kept up to date with the progress.
