A Norwich marketing agency is urging other companies to follow its lead after banning single-use plastic bottles in its office.
One Agency has taken the 'bottle ban' pledge as part of the Reuse Refill Refresh campaign, a national campaign urging businesses to rethink plastic usage in the workplace.
Since April, anyone bringing a disposable plastic bottle into the building is hit with a fine, with the collected money going to charity.
Helen Littlewood, One Agency's client services director, said the ban was just one step towards becoming a more sustainable workplace and had proved so simple 'there was no going back'.
An estimated 38.5 million plastic bottles are used each day in the UK alone, and a string of high-profile businesses are phasing in single-use plastics bans, including the BBC.
One Agency was supported in making the change by the creators of the Reuse Refill Refresh campaign, Zip Water UK.
