I recently opened an M&S account as I was impressed with their ethos but when I wanted to access my savings I then found out that I could only do by telephone! Over an hour later I got through but there was no apology whatsoever. It’s ridiculous that to access your own money with M&S you either have to rack up a huge phone bill waiting for them to answer or hike all the way into Norwich. It’s nearly 2013 after all! Well that was the shortest account that ever lived – I switched ASAP!
