Business leaders looked to strike fresh deals after Norfolk Chamber of Commerce threw open the doors to its business-to-business exhibition.
The event, held today at Norwich City Football Club, saw some of the region’s top firms sharing their wisdom during specialist workshops, while key speakers gave business-improvement tips during best-practise sessions.
Meanwhile, more than 50 firms set up stalls to promote their brands, from training providers to energy firms.
Johnny Hustler, managing director of Archant Anglia, who officially launched the exhibition, said: “No matter how dazzling your product, or how seductive your service it is unlikely that you will get rich unless people know about it.
“How many times do we all come across brilliant companies and ask ourselves how on earth it is that we have never heard of them.
“Norfolk is spectacularly successful at breeding and encouraging new, small, exciting firms full of dynamism and promise.
“I might be biased, because I have spent the last 35 years trying to market one thing or another, but I am convinced that marketing is every-bit as important an ingredient in your business as your people, your skills or your product. And if we could get every new business to agree with this – Norfolk would indeed be buzzing.”
Caroline Williams, chief executive of the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce, said: “The B2B Exhibition2013 is the essential business to business exhibition.
“We’re all aiming to do better business, and we’re all doing more digitally. But being with the best, and meeting face to face, is something that never fails to deliver.
“We’re making sure that you’ll have the opportunity to meet the very best of the region’s businesses, and discover the outstanding products and services they have to offer. Access exclusive on-stand promotions and excellent networking opportunities.”
