Norwich North MP Chloe Smith is intending to still run her latest ‘politics in the pub’ session next week, despite suffering a broken toe.
Miss Smith will be meeting constituents in The Duke of Wellington pub, on Waterloo Road, between 12.30pm and 2.30pm on Saturday.
The session allows people to speak to the MP, who is an economic secretary to the treasury, about both local and national political issues.
No appointment is necessary, people can just turn up on the day.

I understand that Miss Smith has been to Israel "on a fact finding mission" My questions to her would be; 1) Who paid air fares, hotel, food etc, 2) Now she has seen one side of the Israel Palestine situation will she be going to Palestine and Gaza to see the other side of the situation so that her views and any future comments on the subject will be balanced.

Hey.....my comment from yesterday about us not all loving Chloe as gushingly as the EDP has now mysteriously disappeared for no reason! Looks like I dared to criticise too much!

I'm glad that she is keeping to her level of politics in pubs, others have used supermarkets and still found it hard to engage, must have something to do with the remoteness of party politicians, their lack of our mandate for what they do. Hope her metatarsal is healing and she will answer all questions. Somebody might asked about her allegiances to a forelorn warlock nation like Israel, when she has barely met anybody from our european partners, or whether she has been approached by MI6.

what a wonderful and inciteful piece of journalism. And praise to Chloe Smith for bravely soldiering on with a broken little toe, just like thousands of others across the country every day.

Perhaps this is the EDP discreetly correcting the story on Wednesday which said she had broken her foot. This story says it's her toe.

chebram 71, that's getting a little bit personal isen't it? We may not agree with everything all our MPs do, but i would not wish chloe's neck broken. that's a horrible thing to say. if you have a problem with anything , the way forward is to talk. Maybe someone would wish your neck was broken. would you like that?

I broke my toe once, no one gave a damn and I had to continue my manual job as per normal.

Double Bill, what makes it worse is that a story was printed when she broke her toe initially a few weeks ago. If this is the most interesting story the reporter can come up with nowadays then they should be sacked for incompetence. This is not news nd certainly not an interesting story! It reminds me of how my Granny used to tell everybody about her diverticulitis, that was not interesting or newsworthy either! If this is the best the EDP can do I may seriously consider another source of up to date and interesting facts about the genuinely interesting people and news in our community.
