Broken down vehicle causes rush hour congestion at Acle roundabout

Police were called to a broken down vehicle by the A47 Acle roundabout at 7.28am this morning (Thursday).

The vehicle, 100m from the roundabout, caused congestion during the rush hour and recovery vehicles were called.

Highways officers put down granules, the vehicle was recovered at 8.31am and traffic was clear by 9.20am.

The incident had been reported as a vehicle fire, but fire crews stood down when it emerged it was a mechanical fault.
