A new guide to the best food and drink in Broadland has been launched with tea and cakes on a picture-postcard village green.

Almost 100 growers, farmers’ markets, pubs, restaurants and tea shops feature in the Broadland Food and Drink directory, published by Broadland District Council, and councillors joined some of those listed to toast the venture.

The directory aims to showcase the area’s skills and hospitality for the benefit of locals and visitors. Among those featured is Heydon baker Paul White who runs his Husk wood-fired bakery in the former blacksmith’s shop.

Stuart Clancy, the council’s portfolio holder for economic development, said: “Norfolk has a proud farming, food and drink production heritage and by trading locally and buying locally we all help to ensure this tradition continues.”
