A Norfolk primary school began the new term with the start of a breakfast club.
Hingham Primary is the first school in the Attleborough cluster to offer the daily club to its pupils. The club, running every school morning, is offering children a healthy breakfast from 7.45am.
Nicky Robson, one of the founders of Hingham Breakfast Club in the Hub, said: “It was really hard for working parents to drop off their children every morning without being late for a normal working day, and now they know that they will be in a safe and fun environment and will be given a nutritious breakfast in a sociable atmosphere.”
The new reading hub at the school, opened last year by children’s author Annie Dalton, is home to the breakfast club and can accommodate up to 16 children.
