A bomb disposal unit was sent to a property in Norwich after a grenade was found in the back garden.

A Norfolk police spokesman said an “old and inert grenade” was found this evening at a property in Valley Side Road, off Plumstead Road.

He said police were called to the scene at about 5.50pm and that an explosive ordnance disposal team from the army also attended. He said the body of a grenade was found and was not live.
