Detectives are probing the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was discovered in north Norfolk.
The body, thought to be that of a man in his 40s, was found at 2.45pm on Monday on the bank of a river just outside Buxton.
Police are treating the death as unexplained.
Earlier in the day police renewed an appeal for information on a man missing from the Buxton area.
Derek Cutting was last seen drinking at the Old Crown public house in Buxton, on Friday, December 7.
The 46-year-old left the pub at about 1.30am on Saturday.
A police spokesman said last night that Mr Cutting’s disappearance was one of their lines of enquiry but the circumstances were not clear cut.
He added: “We are not going to be drawn at this stage.”
Mr Cutting was described as white, around five foot nine inches tall, slim, with short dark hair and tattoos on his arm and chest. He was possibly wearing a grey camouflage top and jeans.
