Besthorpe to hold belated Jubilee teddy bears picnic

A Norfolk village will be celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this weekend with a teddy bears picnic.

Besthorpe Parish Council, All Saints Church and the Besthorpe WI have joined forces to organise the event in the church from 12.30pm to 4pm on Sunday.

The free afternoon of family fun and celebration aims to bring residents together with a bring your own picnic lunch, children’s entertainer and commemorative tree planting.

Children from the parish will be presented with commemorative coins to mark the occasion and there will be a teddy bears blessing.
