Beer lovers in Norwich rejoice! This weekend will see the city taken over by not one, but two Oktoberfest celebrations.
The first kicks off on Thursday, October 5 at OPEN and continues through Friday and Saturday.
OPEN's Banking Hall will be transformed into a Bavarian Bierkeller, offering German Beer, Bitburger, Benedktiner Hell and Konig as well as Adnams prosecco and gin.
A selection of German food, including bratwurst, will be on offer as well as entertainment provided by Oompah band The Bavarian Strollers, plus Europop hits from Norfolk group NightTrain.
All money raised will be donated to the Open Youth Trust, which finances the activities OPEN offers young people aged between seven and 25.
Stephen Fry has endorsed Oktoberfest at OPEN, tweeting that he is 'proud' to support the event 'for a great charity'.
Tickets ranged from £10.75 for general admission to £354.35 for a VIP table of 8. The event has sold out, with 3,000 tickets being purchased.
Originally scheduled for the end of the month, the city's second Oktoberfest will now take place in a 'Grand Bier Tent' outside Carrow Road over Friday, October 6 and Saturday October 7.
The event promises 30,000 litres of beer, a bar of alternative drinks, vendors serving German food such as sausages and pretzels as well as other hot and cold dishes.
Traditional folk and Oompah bands will be on hand to provide musical entertainment and musical theatre tenor, Joshua Takacs is also set to perform.
Tickets cost £15 for general standing, £20 for a seated ticket and £350 for a VIP table for 10 people.
OPEN Chief Executive, John Gordon-Saker, said: 'The Carrow Road event hasn't caused us any issues as we sold out back in February.
'There shouldn't be any confusion, despite them muscling in on our dates long after we launched, as they are two different types of event. Ours is taking place in a warm Bierkeller with every penny of profit going to young people in Norfolk, whilst theirs is in a tent in a car park.'
