Rose and Tony Gooding, who live in the town, were married on September 5 1952 in Singapore. They have five children, 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Mr Gooding worked in the RAF for over 30 years and they enjoyed travelling the world together as he was deployed in a number of different countries. He went to work for Marconi until his retirement. He is a member of Probus and the Royal British Legion and is a keen painter.

Mrs Gooding worked in home care for the elderly for a number of years and still works as a domestic house keeper and shows no sign of slowing down.
