Hundreds of people attended the evensong service on Saturday and the church took around 40 supporters from Attleborough to the capital by coach and train.

The choir sang in the presence of the Dean of Westminster, the Very Rev’d John Hall, and were accompanied by the assistant organist of the Abbey, Martin Ford.

The choir, who sang music by Darke, Walsh and Royal Wedding composer Paul Mealor, was around 50 strong with singers and guests past and present from Attleborough, conducted by organist and master of the choristers David Barnard, who is in his 12th year in charge of the St Mary’s choir.

A busy year is planned singing choral evensong on the last Sunday of each month and also taking part in concerts and singing across the country. For more information, contact the parish office on 01953 454977 or email attleboroughchurch@btinternet.com
