Members of the public are being prevented from entering part of Brownshill following an incident at one of the properties in the road which is made up of chalet type semi-detached homes.

Armed officers, dog handlers and about seven police vehicles arrived at about 11.45am although police will only confirm that a “live incident” is taking place.

A spokesman in the Norfolk police control room said an “armed containment” was taking place at a residential property in Cromer but added that “no-one else is at any risk”.
