Christmas is edging ever nearer with the shops getting busier and postmen and women straining under the load of cards and parcels they need to deliver.

However, there is a new phenomenon sweeping the nation this year and that is the growing popularity of the Christmas jumper.

The itchy, garish woolly festive jumper was usually the subject of ridicule, but has now become the must-have fashion accessory for the festive season.

Work colleagues have been impressing their co-workers with pullovers featuring knitted Christmas puddings, snowmen, reindeer, and Santas this year.

Have you got an impressive Christmas jumper? Perhaps you took part in Christmas Jumper Day on Friday to raise funds for Save the Children?

Send us a picture of yourself in your knitted masterpiece and we will post the best ones online and in print in the run-up to Christmas.

Email your pictures to picdesk@archant.co.uk and you can also upload your pictures at iwitness24 by visiting http://norfolk.iwitness24.co.uk/

  • Nice one Cyril, just wait until the end of January, the charity shops will be choked with them. I will buy one and wear it NEXT year, when they have gone out of "fashion".
