Trains between Norwich and Cambridge have “resumed normal service” following delays and disruption today after high winds brought power cables down at Wymondham.
The winds damaged electricity power lines, which hang over the railway, and left them hanging so low it would not have been safe to run trains.
A spokesman for Greater Anglia said: “Services are all returning to normal on their routes. We cleared the line this afternoon and the trains resumed normal service at around 3.30pm.”
