A team of artists are "incredibly saddened" after their shared gallery space was broken into overnight.
Norwich Art Shop, in Upper St Giles Street, is a collective art space shared between more than 20 artists.
Each artist pays rent proportional to the size of their showcasing space and they take turns volunteering to open the galleries and shop to the public.
News of the break-in was shared in a statement which said: "Unfortunately we will not be opening today due to a break-in early this morning.

"We will not be opening until the door can be fixed. We will keep you informed when we know more."
A spokeswoman for the shop added that their neighbours managed to interrupt after hearing banging.
"Obviously all of the artists are incredibly saddened by this," she said.
"Luckily our neighbours heard the banging and managed to disturb the perpetrator.
"As far as we know the door was the only casualty and it has been boarded up for now.
"Hopefully we will be able to open as soon as the door can be replaced."
A police spokeswoman confirmed the damage had been reported at 2.10am and was being investigated.
