Keswick Mountain Festival (KMF) is set to return next week.

After a hiatus last year, the annual jamboree will once again welcome thousands of festival-goers to Cumbria from May 17-19.

The festival is known for its diverse mix of sporting events, outdoor activities, live entertainment, speakers, and family-friendly activities.

Set along the beautiful Derwentwater shoreline and framed by Lakeland's idyllic falls, KMF 2024 boasts a packed programme of events.

From a new adventure race and revised mountain run to open water swims, hikes, and two cycle sportive routes, the sports schedule promises exhilaration for every participant.

The heart of KMF is the Festival Village, nestled amidst the National Trust's Crow Park.

Throughout the three-day event, the Village will be abuzz with exhibitors, festival partners, and a variety of family activities.

Sports events will kick-off from the village and two key areas, the Big Top and Band Stand, will host a range of local musicians.

Lively Tent Talks will feature renowned names in outdoor adventures and sports, and there will be food stalls and two bars offering real ales.

The KMF Accessible Adventure Zone will be positioned conveniently near the Festival Village's main entrance.

This area will exhibit innovations promoting outdoor accessibility with organisations such as the Calvert Trust and Disability Snowsports UK.

Facilities like Mobiloo toilets and designated parking for disabled drivers also ensure the festival's accessibility for all.

Entry to the Festival Village is free for everyone, but festival wristbands are required for specific activities.

On Friday, May 17, highlights include the North Face & Ellis Brigham Skiddaw Mountain Run and Tent Talks from James Forrest, Alastair Humphreys, David Millar, and Louise Minchin.

Saturday, May 18, will see the North Face & Ellis Brigham Keswick 3 Peaks Challenge, Aquasphere Keswick Conqueror, and Aquasphere Derwent Isle 1.5km Swim.

The day will include a compelling talk from former multiple Ironman Triathlon World Champion Chrissie Wellington and world record-setting hand cyclist Mel Nicholls.

Sunday, May 19, presents the Adidas Terrex 50k Trail Ultra Marathon and Back O'Skiddaw 100km Cycle.

Tent Talks from Sean Conway, Cameron McNeish, and Alan Hinkes will also take place, and live music will entertain across all three days.

KMF 2024 offers a variety of ticket options for individuals, families and those planning a day visit or a weekend stay.

There's an option to donate to Fix the Fells with every ticket purchase.
