The weather might have been a bit hit and miss but it did not stop families - and even the Bishop of Norwich - from taking a trip to woods near a village church to enjoy the bluebells.

People dodged the rain to attend St Peter's Church in Spixworth which threw open its doors to allow people an opportunity to view the spectacular bluebells that have sprung so far this spring.

These included pond dipping and treasure hunts, while there was also a chance to grab some refreshments.

It is thought the event has helped raise between £300 and £400 towards St Peter's Church and Horsham St Faith church.
