A woman has been kidnapped from her city home and assaulted in a nearby alley.

Suspects broke into a woman's home in Clancy Road and attacked her before they made her walk with them along Rider Haggard Road and Skelton Road.

They then went into an alleyway between Vancouver Road and Heartsease Lane where she was assaulted again.

Two members of the public, described as a male jogger and a woman in a white car, stepped in to help and the suspects ran off.

The woman then gave the victim a lift home.

Officers would like to speak to the two people who stepped in to help as well as anyone else who may have witnessed the incident at around 7am on March 24.

A 35-year-old has since been charged with assault, kidnap and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with this incident.

A 27-year-old was charged with assault, kidnap and burglary.

They both appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court on March 27 and were remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Crown Court on April 24.
