Emergency services were called to a crash involving four vehicles along the A47 on Friday morning.
The incident happened just before 11am on the westbound carriageway at Cringleford, on the outskirts of Norwich.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service sent crews from Carrow and Earlham due to initial reports that a vehicle was on fire.
It was not on fire when they arrived, but one person had to be released from their car.
Fire crews left the scene at midday and it is currently unknown if there were any injuries.
Earlier delays are now showing as clear on traffic maps.
