New artwork has been grabbing the attention of shoppers in the city centre this week.
The motorised installation has been placed in the window of The Garnet Stores shop, next to the pub of the same name.
Alice Lee, the artist who created the piece, was given lots of creative freedom and centred the window exhibition on Norwich Market - mainly focusing on the pigeons.
Alice said: “I really love pigeons, they remind me of my dad and I have a personal connection with them.
“I also think in the wider context of the world they are an amazing symbol of peace and community.”
The piece includes motorised parts moving the flock of birds around, similar to how they fly over the market.
It also has larger pigeons bending to peck into sauce pots, replicating the birds trying to snatch some food.

Pigeons have historically been used as a symbol of resilience and giving hope to those in need - but many of us know them best for trying to eat our chips.
The pub has been trading since 1861 and has lots of historic value to be replicated in art. The shop opened in 2021 and sells good including homeware, gifts, food and drink.
Alice continued: “I did take some influence from the architecture of The Garnet pub itself because obviously it's very interesting.

"My work is very precise, which is maybe not immediately reflective of The Garnet, which is quite higgldey piggledy.”
Kelly Simone, who works in the shop, added: "Lots of people came at the end of Monday, children especially were stopping and a few people have taken pictures.”
The Garnet Stores is holding a Good Friday event between 2pm and 7pm to celebrate Alice’s work. A local DJ will be playing and shop discounts and drinks will be available, with Alice giving people a chance to meet the face behind the art.
