A huge refurb is under way at a city travel agency as its continued success brings an expansion of its site.

Trailfinders, in Castle Meadow, is boarded up as the shop undergoes a massive renovation.

The work has no definite completion date yet but is expected to take several months.

A Trailfinders spokeswoman said: "We are expanding into all parts of our freehold building to create an enhanced client experience, improved facilities for our staff and better accessibility for all.

Since opening its flagship store in Earls Court in London, Trailfinders has grown to 44 stores around the UK and Ireland and offers a range of holidays, from honeymoons and cruises to luxury breaks and safaris.

"As a company, we have over a million repeat customers," the spokeswoman continued.

"All our travel centres around the UK are very successful, including our Norwich branch."

Customers can still visit while the work is ongoing as staff have moved into the first floor of the building and are still seeing clients.

The future design of the shop is yet to be revealed but is likely to be similar to the recently renovated Glasgow branch, which is pictured above.

It features large images from around the world on the walls, with wooden panelling and large plants dotted around the rooms.

The Norwich site is now totally boarded up, with scaffolding stretching from the ground floor to the roof of the three-story building.

The entrance to the shop can still be accessed from Castle Meadow, with large yellow signs pointing customers to the temporary entrance.
