Tracy Kenny, co-founder and director, said: “Jack’s design has made the bookshop just as cosy and welcoming as it always has been – but with his touch, it is absolutely enchanting."

A spokesman from the British Book Awards added: "The new shop has seen a fantastic response, with footfall, sales and engagement from the community showing a deep success."

The shop has been run by volunteers as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) since 2014 when the town's previous bookshop was set to close forever.
