The sudden closure of an inner city ring road has caused further chaos to travel in and around Norwich.
It was previously reported that just one lane was closed in Barrack Street but it has now been fully closed after Cadent Gas teams found a leak.
Workers initially erected barriers on the left-hand westbound lane at Saint Crispins roundabout with work expected to be completed by Wednesday (January 17).

According to the roadwork tracking website One.network, the road will now be closed until Thursday for crews to carry out emergency repairs.
Motorists should avoid the area where possible. Vehicles cannot directly access Saint Crispins Road and the Anglia Square flyover from Barrack Street and Bishop Bridge Road.
Diversions routes follow Riverside Road, Riverside, Koblenz Avenue, Carrow Road, Kings Street, Bracondale, Queens Road, Chapelfield Road, Grapes Hill and Barn Road.
