Motorists should expect disruption in Norwich from tomorrow as a major scheme to improve a key road gets under way.
Work will start on Queens Road to provide better access for buses and improve journey times to the bus station as part of the £1 million project.
The project includes building a new "short" bus lane on Queens Road for buses to turn into the station.

It also includes painting new road markings on the Chapelfield Road approach to St Stephens roundabout to encourage vehicles to get into the correct lane.
According to Norfolk County Council, these changes will help to improve the flow of traffic towards the station entrance while maintaining the same number of lanes for general road users.
There will also be pedestrian crossing improvements and upgrades to the information screens, as well as the overall "look and feel" of the area.

Both projects are funded through the Department of Transport and will be carried out together to help minimise disruption.
Councillor Graham Plant said: "On completion, general traffic flow and access for buses will be improved, contributing to reduced delays and more service reliability for passengers.
"People accessing the bus station on foot will also see improvements to the area as a whole, including a better pedestrian entrance and new units providing real-time bus information."
