A mum fighting cancer has been lifted by her experience of meeting the King at the hospice she is living in.

Rebecca Turner has been fighting stage three melanoma cancer for five months so said the royal visit to Pricilla Bacon Lodge at the N&N Hospital has really boosted her spirits.

The 30-year-old, from Hethersett, said that the King was very down to earth and spent much more time with her and her family than she expected.

She continued: “It is not something you get to do every day, so I was keen for her to have the opportunity.

Thursday's visit has proved a special occasion for so many who were present for the King's first official visit to the city since his coronation.

Rebecca added: “I think moments like that really help those who are stuck away from their home and family.”
