A city pooch that has helped transform the life of her owner is to star in a new BBC show.
My Life Saving Dog follows the story of Norwich woman Mei and her golden retriever Koda, who has helped her regain her independence amid ongoing struggles with depression and anxiety.
The 20-year-old, who spent most of her teens in care, became too scared to leave her home due to her "crippling" anxiety but with the help of Koda, she attempts to overcome these challenges.
A trip to Birmingham will see the duo take a Public Access test which aims to help Mei manage her panic attacks in situations, up until now, she has avoided.
But two-year-old Koda still has a lot to learn and must overcome her tendency to fall asleep on the job.

Mei said: “She is not perfect, neither am I and together this is going to be our biggest challenge yet.
"I don’t know whether there are enough words to be able to tell her how much she means to me and how much she has helped my life.
"She’s literally my world and I don’t think I could live without her."

Next, Mei makes her first independent trip to London after being chosen from hundreds of care leaves to take part in a special panel with Children's Commissioner Dame Rachel de Souza.
But will she be able to make the trip without suffering a panic attack?
The documentary is produced by Norwich-based Eye Film, which has made films for major television channels including BBC One and Channel Four since it was formed in 1973.
My Life Saving Dog will air on BBC One on Friday, July 21 at 7.30pm.
