A flood alert has been issued for riverside areas between Thorpe St Andrew and Great Yarmouth.
The Environment Agency has said high tides will cause river levels to rise today (January 6) and into the early hours of Saturday morning.
Roads and footpaths along the river could be flooded during this time with Brundall and Reedham most likely to be impacted.
People have been advised to take care travelling in these areas and not to put themselves in unnecessary danger.
The risk of flooding could continue over the coming days until high tides at Great Yarmouth pass.
This is the second flood alert to be put in place for parts of Norfolk today.
Welney Causeway is closed to traffic after high river levels led to flood water covering the road.
