The Mayor of Watton has praised the community spirit of the town after her charity ball raised more than £4,000.
Tina Kiddell described the ball, held at the sports and social club on Saturday, as 'brilliant' with £4,598 raised on the night.
The money will be added to the mayor's charity collection which will be shared between two charities at the end of her mayoral year.
The Daisy Project, a domestic abuse support charity, and the Watton Sports and Social Club, will be the beneficiaries.
'It was a brilliant and unbelievable night', she said. 'I was absolutely staggered. I think it proves to me that Watton really pulls out the stops.
'When you looked around the room, it was all local people. It was brilliant that people supporting the ball were local businesses.'
During the carnival, the town council held a tombola, which raised £164 and will be added to the mayor's charity collection.
