Rail services on the Norwich-London mainline have returned to normal after a person was hit by a train at Romford, near London, this morning.
The incident, at about 10.30am, caused the line to be shut whilst emergency services attended.
A spokesman for Greater Anglia said a number of services leaving London Liverpool Street had been cancelled and services from Ipswich, Norwich and Colchester terminated at Shenfield or Colchester.
They added that disruption was set to last until 2.30pm today.
