Update: Man, 85, taken to hospital after being catapulted 10 feet when he was hit by car on Norwich ring road

An 85-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car on the city’s ring road.
The accident happened at the Dereham Road / Sweet Briar Road roundabout just before 11am today.
Police said a pedestrian and an Audi A3 were involved.
Paramedics said the man was thrown about 10 feet after striking the car’s windscreen - but he appears to have only suffered a minor head injury, along with cuts and bruises.
The ambulance service was called sent an ambulance and two paramedic officers.
Paramedic officer Adrian Wyatt-Goody, who attended the scene, said: “The man hit the car’s windscreen and was catapulted about 10 feet on to the road.
“He suffered what appears to be a minor head injury as well as some cuts and bruises and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further treatment.”
