Trains between Norwich and London are running up to 15 minutes late this morning after a lightning strike affected a level crossing.

The crossing is between Needham Market and Ipswich and all lines - including the one from Ipswich to Cambridge - are affected.

In a statement, train operators Greater Anglia said: “Train services running through these stations may be delayed by up to 15 minutes at short notice. An estimate for the resumption of normal services will be provided as soon as the problem has been fully assessed.”
