An ode for foul smelly bin odour

Wheelie Bin, Maggots n NCC

My wheelie has got maggots
Dont know how they got in
I always knot my bags
Keep me lid down on me bin

It could ave been the bag
The one right at the bottom
Had a chicken carcass in it
After 2 weeks surely rotten!

Now the flies they just keep coming
Circling round me bin
Crawling up the side
Trying to crawl in

I called the man from NCC
To see wot he could do
He said that there was nothing
And the bin would be emptied when it was due

Well I got quite annoyed at this
And ranted down the phone
I said next time I have maggots mate
You can give em a home

He said there is no need to be rude
I said oh yes there is
My wheelie bins got maggots mate
And your refuse collection service is ***

I said come and empty me wheelie
And all will be forgiven
He said sir I cannot do that
So I guess I’m maggot ridden

Bloody council innit! tickedoff

Story Image THIRD WORLD BRITAIN, BINS HOLD THOUSANDS OF GERMS AND MICRO BACTERIA. SNOT RAGS WAIT TO BE COLLECTED FOR UP TO TWO WEEKS

It is quite possible for a complete new generation of flies if you leave the bin for 14 days.

http://www.vtaide.com/png/housefly.htm

or less if conditions are good, 11 days is perfectly possible.

Under the old system, the MAGGOTS would be taken away.
Under the new system the FLIES don't get taken away.

Seems a pretty important difference to me.

MAGGOTS don't breed, FLIES do breed.
MAGGOTS don't spread disease, FLIES do.

As we are having a heatwave this year, the first since the 26 a year rubbish collection started,.IT would be nice if the pocket filling muppets at city hall, saw sense and returned to once a week collections in the summer months. Maggots and flies don't go well with BBQ, it also creates a pong that normally occurs at the local dump.

Council bosses in Norwich pledged to continue with fortnightly bin collections today despite schemes being abandoned elsewhere because of a surge in flies and maggots during the heatwave.

City officials said they had not received any complaints about the issue while in Broadland, a council spokesman said there had been a handful of callers concerned about maggots in bins.

Several town halls in other parts of the country have scrapped fortnightly collections and returned to weekly ones, while others, such as Hertsmere Borough Council in Hertfordshire, have agreed to reinstate weekly pick-ups if temperatures soar above 30C for five consecutive days.

But in this area residents were urged to take greater care of how they dealt with rotting waste in a bid to head off problems before they start.

A spokeswoman for Norwich City Council said: “We have no plans to look at fortnightly collections. We haven't noticed anything unusual for this time of year and we haven't had any complaints.

The current sunny spell is the hottest since July 2006, with Wednesday seeing the highest temperatures of the year so far at 31.8C (89.2F).

Peter Stockwell, service development manager for GYB Services, which works in partnership with Yarmouth Council in a number of areas, including waste collection, said: “Fortnightly collections are a very effective method and it is used widely in Europe and they do not have any problems, despite having a climate that is much hotter than our own.

“If the lid is kept closed there shouldn't be any problems with blue bottles or the resulting maggots and if people double wrap things that are likely to attract such beasts, like fish, then everything should be ok.”

The message was reiterated by Andy Jarvis, Broadland Council's head of environmental services, who said that the recession had resulted in a drop in waste collected from the end of last year.

But a resident of Norwich's Golden Triangle, where the introduction of fortnightly collections has led to black and blue bins lining the streets, said: “You walk along the street and you can actually smell people's bins. Two weeks is too long for rubbish to stand there no matter how many times you wrap it up.

So NO COMPLAINTS mad, I fail to see your point. Like last year, same period, NO problems here at the BlueGreen premise/blue bin. It's all scaremongering on your part....its an issue within substance...as usual might I add.

Its a lie by NCC, loads of people have rang the council, regards too maggot infestation. Due to the fact that employees who answer phones. Have been instructed by higher powers to fob the complaints off. If I have anymore of the buggers (maggots) in bins, I get the wife to round em up, and release the maggots in city hall. I think the snot rags will pose more of health hazard , in fact I will email brown pants, once swine flu starts killing old folk en mass, how 3rd world bin emptying, keeps the virus spreading.

Can you provide evidence that "loads of people" have rung (Quantitative) Norwich CC about any bin investation; other than Daily Mail readers and folk like yourself mad with an obvious retrograde bin agenda? Thought not!

Of course I can't, but the chap I spoke too about maggots last year via blower. Admitted that staff had been warned and informed of maggot issues. Its not a health hazard and not a lot the council can do. When I asked if he could show me evidence that maggots and flies, would not pose a health problem for my family, he shied away. I then bullied him more, if I could have it in writing. At this point I was cut off, I should imagine that this call is in their training purpose program, as it was recorded. This is why city hall will have any maggots, that turn-up in my bin. If the wiggly one's cause city hall, to shut up shop for a while..........Then we know they lie. The snot rags or even that terrible sad fire, could force councils to u-turn on storing to much crap, near homes.  Health hazard, Virus hazard.worst of all .....a fire hazard..........All because of EU ballacks.

So as most suspect a zero issue. Yes Norwich CC centralised communication is a disaster area..Guy obviously knew you were in the Dorretta Cockup flan club; and had better things to do in listening to false bin tripe agendas , and all that money spinnin DM clap trap.

Unleash the wiggly one's on morf and captain work-shy!!!!!!!!!!!!
