Exercise to prepare for flu pandemic - Press & Journal

Exercise to prepare for flu pandemic

Tayside officials to play major role

Published: 21/04/2009

OFFICIALS in Tayside will play a major role in an emergency exercise designed to make sure Scotland is prepared for a flu pandemic.

The month-long exercise, due to start next week, will test government agencies on their readiness to respond to a major outbreak.

Just like 9-11 or 7-7 governments were acting out terror attacks as real one's broke out, weird or is it planned. Along with the fact that the government contacted all councils in Britain on how much spare plots were in burial sites. You can have a bet when masks start appearing in Britain, Trains/tube.

So Mad whilst you are spreading fear and hype about organised pandemic death; faster than H1N1 itself; the Scotish government is making plans to save scottish folks. Sounds sensible preparation to me. Perhaps CommonPurpose are training them up??Big Smile [:D]

CP are a nasty little scum outfit...........loads in NHS .....which is why hospitals are full  of germs, expect medical services pick and choose those who will live or die.

I suppose you'll label lots of good Doctors and Nurses as CP infiltrators as well when they are treating folks from Mexican Flu.

Keep taking the Garlic tablets Mad!

vinegar is better in halting the spread of any such  killer virus, people should stock up with it, the 2nd wave of flu in this sept/oct will be far worse than this spring virus. six months the world has to decide its future. Non-action will cost many lives. Then again that is the NWO plan.

Once the US gets hold of Indonesia's virus, Supari concludes, "it is a matter of choice whether to use the material for vaccines or biological weapon development." The choice "depends on the need and interest of the US Government"

Yep CC this virus just don't turn up, maybe not planes I would think this virus has been made in a lab and released in flu jabs.

Of course this a lie, only one in twenty mexicans can have a shot of anti-virals.The same as us for when it turns up.Further reading of this report gives it away.

There is currently no vaccine for the new strain of flu but severe cases can be treated with antiviral medication.

The Obama administration formally declared a "public health emergency" in the United States today, allowing government at all levels to prepare for the possible start of an epidemic of swine flu.

With the announcement, civilian and military stockpiles of antiviral drugs are being readied for distribution if the swine flu virus circulating in Mexico and the United States accelerates. It also signals greater vigilance at border crossings and airport security lines for coughing or ill-appearing travelers

It actually might be a BBC reported truth, and Ironmad has it wrong as usual.

If a person contracts a virus they always harbour it, this is well known. So vaccines less important. Only when a persons immune system catches up with the virus is its affects suppressed. It also depends on how strong or suppressed a persons immune system is towards specific viruses.

So vaccines less important        Less important for the general public, those who are considered more important would want some protection.Otherwise world comes to a stand still and stage 4 erupts, 2.5 billion people ill..........With only enough anti-viral for one third of total world population, there's going to be a lot dead bodies if this flu implodes.

It depend on the rate of infection, rate of production of new anti viral , and other such factors. Other areas, eg The Falklands less vulnerable to infection.

Zinc , Selenium and Garlic are cheaper.

Ever thought why East/Southern African countries have higher AIDS/HIV levels than West Africa.. Answer West Africa has higher levels of Selenium in the soil. Low selenium intake through soil/food makes the immune system weaker against viral attack.

Yes CC you can buy the anti-viral along with pneumonia jabs,  as  we now have piggy flu in Britain it will be squeaky bum time for every one. Unless of course this is another false flag involving giant US anti-viral companies. With no deaths in the USA at present it could more of problem for the third world Mexican population, thousands die from run of the mill flu every year there. If there is a new outbreak of piggy fever in Pakistan afghan border in coming weeks, look to the shadow USA forces for quick clean answers to the tali-ban problem.

Ever thought why East/Southern African countries have higher AIDS/HIV levels than West Africa.. Answer West Africa has higher levels of Selenium in the soil. Low selenium intake through soil/food makes the immune system weaker against viral attack.

Selenium deficiency and HIV: a vicious circle

Low blood selenium levels have been linked to faster progression of HIV/AIDS, which has been attributed to a number of causes:

  1. The target cell of HIV is the CD4 cell, which depresses T-cell numbers
  2. Selenium deficiency reduces T-cell and overall immune system function
  3. HIV robs the host of available selenium for its own purposes.
  4. Selenium may slow viral replication

Since the virus attacks the CD4 T-cells, CD4 counts drop as HIV disease progresses. Low CD4 counts encourage opportunistic infections. Normal CD4 counts are in the range of 600 to 1500 cells, with treatment for HIV recommended once CD4 counts fall below 350.

Deficiency of selenium in the diet can also contribute to poor T-cell activity; however HIV puts further pressure on the host’s limited selenium supply by stealing selenium for its own use. A virus essentially ‘hijacks’ host cells, borrowing host cellular machinery to make more virus, and robbing the host of nutrients as it replicates. In the case of HIV, one of its genes encodes the HIV version of the selenoenzyme GPx, leaving less selenium available for the host’s immune system and encouraging a downward spiral of CD4 cell count.

While our government drags itself as usual........as if there all drugged up, Hong Kong don't hang around, they are a well drilled outfit that makes Britain on par with Mexico (can only treat one in twenty of their population).
For a population of seven million people, Hong Kong has stockpiled 20 million treatment courses of Tamiflu, a medicine to which the new swine flu virus has not yet developed resistance. Hong Kong also has Asia’s best-known flu specialists and extensive research labs that were expanded in response to fears of SARS or a long-feared pandemic of bird flu, which is caused by a different influenza virus from swine flu. vital services running even if large numbers of people fall ill. And at a time when many hospitals in the United States are already at full capacity and keep few extra beds in reserve, Hong Kong has 1,400 beds in respiratory isolation units, mostly built over the past six years for fear that bird flu or SARS would become a serious problem, and 15 times as many beds as the territory needs on an everyday basis. Our hospitals are already full with no spare beds, plus we still can't keep them clean from winter vomit virus. Nulabour =mass burials =disorder =eugenic thinking.
