Hot one this week.
G'day all.
I felt sorry for young Chris this week last Monday he started back to work, after his summer holidays. He had three weeks off, didn't do too much just took it easy. Monday ,when he started back, the sun decided to shine and the temperature sored into the 30's. Tuesday was our hotest this year, 42 degrees. Thursday he was being hit with heat exhaustion and had to have the day off after being sick with dehydration during the night. As an electrician hes often up in roof spaces, finishing off installations and believe me you don't ever want to be in a roof space when its 42 outside.
How to describe what a day in the 40's is like, well, remember when we were kids and standing at the bon'fire on Guy Fawkes night and you get a little too close, the wind picks up and blows the heat your way, remember that feeling as the heat hits your face and you turn away to get out of the heat. Well here which ever way you turn you still have that heat on your cheeks and your cloths still feel as though they want to melt. Its a very uncomfortable feeling and maybe lovely too have a holiday, out in it, for a short break but no good to have to work in these temperatures.
Well all for now. Robert, Linda and the boy
