Eight little legs.

G' day all.

How was the New Year celebrations in Norfolk this year. We spent our last moments, of the old year and the seeing in of our New Year with some close friends that we have close to us in the suburb watching the fireworks exploding over the city. We then toasted the year in with a nice glass of wine. Didn't get up too early, New Years day, was thinking of taking the grandson and granddaughter to have a go around our Melbourne eye, as we havn't been to the eye as yet and riden upon the big wheel, we have very clean air around the city of Melbourne and it would be interesting to find out how much we can see from the top.

Its a time of year again when one has to be a little carefull from our "creapy crawlies" that seem to be around as the weather warms up. I feel a little lucky,  as I was about to place some rubbish into the bin, the other night, I felt a tickeling around my neck as I walked under the car port, it was a good job my hands were full with the bag of rubbish I was about to place in the bin. I shook my head and saw a White Tail Spider fall from my neck to the floor. These little critters can cause a lot of pain if they bite you, generally causeing a fair swelling in the area and make you feel not to good for a while. Our most dangerouse spider, here in Victoria is the Red Back, which you see quite commonly around the house, the bite from a Red back can be fatal, so you give these a wide birth and a smack with anything you have handy.

The weathers been a little kinder to us, so far, with very pleasant days around the mid to high 20's, for those on holiday at the moment, it must be beautifull. For me, travelling to work each morning at the moment, its great with a lot less trafic to worry about but we still need the heavens to open and allow some rain to fall.

Well all for now,, hidden the beer, this week.
