Broken toe
I've broken my toe, the little one on my right foot. The phone was ringing, and I walked through to answer it, bare foot as I often do and smashed my foot on my son's amp. As soon as I did it I knew it was broken, I've been here once before about 10 years ago when I hit the toe on my left foot on the chair. I remembered the pain, and it was exactly the same feeling. I felt really sick and thought I was going to pass out. It hurts so much you just sit quietly till it passes whereas normally you would have a good swear and then carry on. The bruising came out straight away and is now starting to fade, but the swelling is still there, I shall just have to wait until it heals itself as I did the last time. I've been to work as normal but have been having to rest when I've arrived home as being constantly on my feet has been a killer. Hopefully over the next few days the swelling will go down and I can get back to nomal as much as possible. I'm restricted to what shoes I can wear for a while. I hope I don't have to go anywhere where I need to dress up.
On the plus side ..... I'm going to see David Gray at Thetford Forest next Friday. I've never seen him before and I'm hoping he is going to be good live.
I also have to put the 24th of the month on the calendar, my eldest son and the band are at Bedfords Crypt again.
A day off work on Tuesday, my youngest son is doing his skydive, I'm hoping the weather will be good so it can go ahead without any problems.
