The Crypt
I had a good night out last night. My eldest son and his friends in the band were playing as one of the support bands at Bedfords Crypt. Everything went well, and they had a large following. Excellent. The other musicians were very good as well, each with their own style of music. My other half wanted to leave soon after he had seen our son play, in fact he said "we will go when you've finished your drink". I was having none of it, and told him I wanted to see the others. He wasn't impressed, but he did stay till the end, our opinions differ as to how good the other artists were. I loved it. I even bought a CD. After my busy weekend and my two nights out I shall be at home as much as possible till I leave for Cardiff. Only 8 more sleeps now, and I am well chuffed because my media accreditation came through yesterday.
I gave blood yesterday as well. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do so though. After taking the first test where they prick your finger, the blood sample did not sink to the bottom of the tube within the 15 seconds that it should. I had to have the second test where they take a sample from your arm and put it onto a slide and into a machine for a better reading. I passed this test with no problem. It had been thought that I did not have enough iron, but everything is well. So I left the building wearing 3 plasters, one on my finger and one on each arm, but pleased I was able to give my 30th donation of blood.
