A calm weekend
It's a calm weekend even though I did have to work yesterday. I did not have to be in till 7-30am, but I'm not one to get up, get dressed and just go to work. The first thing I do is make a cup of tea and drink it while my bath is running. I take a long relaxing bath, and afterwards have a light breakfast. While all this is happening, I've possibly got a wash load on the go. If the weather is good I'll hang the washing out, before having a coffee, just to make sure I'm fully awake before leaving for work. Therefore I was up at 5-30am. Yesterday I enjoyed being at work. I found I was working in a calm stress free atmosphere, that is not always the case, but we had a good team and it was an enjoyable day.
I cycled to work all of last week as my lift was on holiday. I enjoyed that as well, I'm not sure I would feel the same way if the weather was bad, I've been lucky. I think I'll hang on to my lift and not make any hasty decisions. ;o) I much prefer to cycle than to walk.
Today I'm having a mega lazy day. This is my day of rest. I didn't get up till getting on for 10am, and did not get dressed till after midday. I called in at Tesco on the corner to get a bit of shopping I needed, and now I don't have to leave the house for the rest of the the day. I may watch a dvd this afternoon.
Only 18 more sleeps till Cardiff.
I have 3 outings between now and then. 1 for my birthday, and 2 to watch my my sons in action, that's 2 nights out on the trot. What a social life. ;o)
Also I am giving blood, that's a social life in itself, I always end up chatting with heaps of people. In these situations people are always up for a chat, We would probably walk straight past each other if we were in the street. Of course I enjoy my cuppa with crisps and biscuits as well. We are well looked after these days.
