Your chance to cash in on your catches

At last the glorious 16th is here and for anglers all over the country there’s no date quite like it.

Geared up: Brundall Angling Centre Metro manager Andy Flint.
Geared up: Brundall Angling Centre Metro manager Andy Flint.

June the 16th – the official start of the coarse fishing season – when the whole spectrum of Broads, lakes and rivers became available for fishing – is still a special date.

To mark the start of the new season the Evening News has teamed up with Brundall Angling Centre’s Metro store in Riverside Road, Norwich, for a fantastic new competition which means that all anglers have an opportunity to cash in on their catches.

Each month there will be £50 tackle vouchers up for grabs for the best catch by a junior angler (aged 16 and under) and an adult angler. We are asking anglers to send us details of their catches, with a picture where possible.

The prize catches of the month will be selected by a panel of Evening News judges.

Size will not be the only factor, as the circumstances of the catch, the species and difficulty of the venue will also be considered.

So whether you are a sea, coarse, game, pleasure or match angler it’s time to get catching and get snapping.

Please email your details (name, age, address, daytime/mobile and evening telephone numbers) and information about the catch to milton.lindsay@archant.co.uk with 'Prize Catch' in the subject line, attaching a picture of the fish.
