Players know exactly what is riding on game
I heard it said this week that we should play well at Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday because we are safe from relegation and we will be more relaxed - but I don't agree with that theory.

It has been an honour to manage Dion
I first had the opportunity to work with Dion Dublin in 1997 when I was assisting Glenn Hoddle as a coach with the England squad. Dion impressed me straightaway with his personality and his humility as a man.

Pain of derby defeat will not hold us back
Our derby defeat at Ipswich last Sunday was a bad experience for everyone connected with the club. We are not happy with what happened. I don't like the experience of playing against our local rivals and playing so poorly.

City players enjoying their football
We can safely say that we have come a very long way since our last meeting with Ipswich Town. It was a pretty poor predicament we found ourselves in, in the first week of November, when we had just eight points.

Our just deserts went missing in March
Anyone who has followed Norwich City through the month of March will feel like we do - that we didn't pick up the number of points we deserved. I wouldn't like to put an exact figure on how many we should have collected, but looking at the figures, we took eight points in January and 10 in February, but just four in March.

Time to clamp down on dissent
The time has come to get tough on the kind of dissent we have witnessed against referees in Premier League matches over the past couple of weeks.
The incidents where Ashley Cole turned his back on referee Mike Riley in the Tottenham-Chelsea game and Javier Mascherano received a second yellow card from Steve Bennett in Liverpool's defeat at Manchester United are just the latest examples of the kind of behaviour that can no longer be tolerated.

SuperTed is a shining example
Lee Clark and I watched Colchester United's home game against Hull City on Tuesday night in order to size up our next opponents.
They played well and were just beaten by the better side on the night.

City need more goals after wasteful Tuesday
The Coca-Cola Championship table shows that only one team has a lower total of goals scored this season than Norwich City. With 35 goals in 38 games, we are not even averaging one goal per game.

Mature response was just what was needed
Two of our senior players deserve a great deal of credit for helping us to a point at Watford on Tuesday night - even though neither of them was in the eleven who started the game.

Blackpool prove just how difficult league is
My belief that any team can beat any other in the Championship has been strengthened by results over the past week. I saw last Saturday how Blackpool - our visitors tomorrow - scored five goals against Charlton, a team relegated from the Premiership last season, a team that is very difficult to beat and a team who had themselves beaten Blackpool 4-1 just a few weeks ago.

I don't want a repeat of last week
We have been forced into at least three changes for tomorrow's home game against Barnsley and I have known all week what those changes will be.

Poor Bates deserves a change of fortune
The news that Matthew Bates has had to return to parent club Middles-brough because he needs a knee operation was a terrible blow to us and most of all, of course, to the lad himself.

Maths lesson shows how far we’ve come
We had a bit of a maths lesson in our “classroom” at Colney this week when I decided to show the players just how far we have come in the space of three months.
