Norwich City are poised to appoint a new goalkeeping coach.

Tommy Wright is expected to resign as manager of Ballymena United to take up the position.

Reports suggest that the former Northern Ireland keeper has been offered a two-and-a-half contract with the Championship club.

Wright has led a revival at Ballymena with an 11-match unbeaten run taking them to fourth place in the league.

But it is believed the opportunity of a full-time post in England will be too good to turn down.

Tuesday's sensational 4-2 win at Glentoran could, therefore, prove to be Wright's last match in charge of the Sky Blues.

Wright has met the Ballymena directors and they have made it clear they will not stand in his way if he wants to accept the position at Carrow Road.
