I'm not sure if he was saying this tongue in cheek, but a report that made its way into the Archant Towers' inbox this week highlighted what football managers attempt to get away with each week.

Instant return would be some achievement

One down, 11 to go. No-one's getting carried away yet, of course, but with City now just five wins away from the perhaps crucial 90-point mark after last season's utter incompetence, you just start to think: 'We might just get away with this.'

Last Friday saw the first of the regular supporters' forums held at Lynnsport. It was pleasing to see a good turnout which probably just about beat some of the turnouts we have seen at similar events held at the ground.
