Drumming home drink drive message

Singers from Notre Dame High School have helped to launch Norfolk’s festive anti drink-drive campaign with a performance of a traditional carol with a twist. The youngsters entertained shoppers at Chapelfield Shopping Centre in Norwich with their drink-drive worded version of the 12 Days of Christmas.

Here is the final verse of the specially adapted version of the song:

On the twelfth day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Twelve months not driving,
Shame for the family,
No insurance cover,
No friends a-calling,
Instant unemployment,
No more car rental,
Social exclusion,
A five grand fine
A free court appearance,
His name in the papers
Too many units,
And a breath test blown positively.
